Herbert Jefferson is best known for his role as Lt. Boomer second only to Apollo as a skilled pilot of Vipers.

Herbert Jefferson Jr. (born 28 September 1946 in Sandersville, Georgia, U.S.A.), raised in Jersey City, New Jersey, and adopted by The City of New York, 

Graduated with honors from New York's American Academy of Dramatic Arts [1969]

Herbert Jefferson Jr. is involved in community and charity activities including the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys For Tots Program, The Wounded Warrior Project, IAVA Supporter, The USO, California Paralyzed Veterans Association, The American Red Cross and California Special Olympics.

Herbert Jefferson  would later on reprise the role in the 1980's becoming Colonel Boomer in a spin off to Battlestar Gallactica
